PRAISE and Worship Centre Founder and bishop — Trust Sinjoki, warmly known as Bishop Sinj, last Saturday launched his debut live musical DVD at a Bulawayo hotel.

The DVD, Worship Experience with Bishop Sinj Volume 1, is a collective effort by Praise and Worship Centre (Endumisweni) with Bishop Sinjoki playing the leading role.

In an interview, Bishop Sinj said the DVD recording featured mostly hymn songs, which he translated and a few others that he composed.

“There are 16 tracks on the album; I wrote and composed two of the songs on the DVD and the rest are translations. In this album, I worked with children because children are pure and perfect in heart and spirit. In most cases children are ignored and focus is given to adults. I thought it is high time we give our children attention,” said Bishop Sinj.

He said he was happy to have finally recorded a musical DVD.

“For more than 25 years now, many people have been pushing me to record my music. I have travelled abroad and I have been singing during my ministries and all I have been asked is where are your albums and unfortunately I didn’t have any.

Until last year on another tour I felt very strongly compelled to do the album,” said Sinj.

The 53-year-old Bishop Sinj said he was setting an example to many people who look up to him.

“The music is prophetic, through this music people are set free, healed and delivered of evil spirits. It brings one closer to God,” Bishop Sinj said.

Sinj said he chose to go for a live DVD recording because he wanted to connect with the audience and bring the experience of worship more closely to them.

“A DVD recording is more involving as it includes both sound and vision and even someone who didn’t come to the actually show can still experience what those who were there experienced,” he said.

The album launch happened together with the church celebrating its 20th anniversary making the whole day a passionate one.

The event had guests that included Apostle K Haskins, Nust chaplain Pastor Tom Dube, Apostle B Ndlovu, Dr Wedu Ndlovu and Rev U Sibanda.

Bishop Sinj an international preacher-cum- singer and has been to Australia, Spain and United Kingdom among other countries.

Endumisweni church was established on 3 September 1995, by Bishop Sinj and his wife Nellie Sinjoki.
