The indigenisation programme has, however, been applauded by experts for creating jobs on the back of genuine wealth, creating a black middle class owning majority shareholding in all foreign-owned firms.
Speaking at the Harare East campaign launch, MDC-T former chief of staff in the office of the Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirayi, Mr Crispen Mbanga, said if elected into power the MDC-T would remove policies such as the indigenisation.
He said the party would create conditions for foreign companies to come and set up factories and industries.
“This is how we will create employment. We do not promise you jobs in the councils because there are no resources, but it is the duty of the Government to create conditions for foreign companies to invest.
“How can foreign companies come and invest in Zimbabwe when we demand 51 percent of the stake?”
MDC-T secretary-general Mr Tendai Biti, on the other hand, accused Zanu-PF leadership of mismanaging resources.
Mr Biti said he did not have money for the elections and yet Zanu-PF was accusing him of not releasing some.
“There is no money for elections two weeks before the elections.
“These people think money grows on trees just like the mulberries,” he said.
