BLABBERMOUTH: Broke, back to ghetto gambling

WHAT is this that we hear about a shameful real life tragicomedy, whose main theme is adultery, unfolding in that suburb named after one of the prominent chiefdoms of the land?
Blabber wanted to deal with this other youthful and unrepentant watering hole operator in that other suburb, whose name has something to do with water.
The not-so-clever boy is sitting on a suspended murder case sentence, but suddenly finds himself in the midst of an assault case. Can someone tell him that jails are made for everyone and if he one day finds himself there, he should never be surprised.
Anyway, that is a story for another time.
Yours Truly is presently preoccupied with events unfolding in a certain high-density suburb on the outskirts of our beloved city — a place named after a well-known chieftaincy.
You know, the very suburb ‘blessed’ with a transport entrepreneur infamous for numerous ritual murder and kidnapping cases?
Well, word reaching Yours Truly from the street is that his wife had a boyfriend on the side. This boyfriend, a maniac character in his own right, was recently caught red-handed (or should I say red-faced?) with another girlfriend in the same hood.
The drama took a sombre turn when this girlfriend sadly passed away during a sleepover at the boyfriend’s house. The incident raised more questions than answers, leaving many to fear for their lives, given the boyfriend’s penchant for numerous affairs with married women.
On the other hand, some men are secretly rejoicing that this serial husband-snatcher has finally gotten her comeuppance.
In a bizarre twist, he was forced to participate in a local traditional marriage ritual, ‘marrying a grave’ — essentially paying roora for his deceased partner — last weekend.
And that is the tea from the chief’s land.

What is this that we hear about this other pseudo-businessman who clashed with many people in the city because of his crooked way of eking a living? That other young ‘businessman’ who once married into a certain well-known business family and caused all sorts of problems for the family.
He had violent clashes with a number of people, including this other diaspora based learned fella, whom he once crossed paths with after conning him a substantial amount of money.
Blabber will not talk about this other pot-bellied orphanage administrator with whom they had episodes of physical confrontations over a girlfriend. Good authority has it that the boy is now broke and spends most of his time gambling in the city’s oldest high-density suburb. Yes, playing mberi shure!
It appears the few trucks that he once owned while on top of his game are no longer in his possession. As a way of catching up with fellas back in the ghetto, showing off that he is well connected and informed, the broke fella is revealing a lot of secrets about some legal practitioners, city marshals and business persons.
Blabber is in possession of an audio clip in which he spewed the unthinkable about certain grudges, corruption and illicit sexual relations of highly regarded persons in the city.
The talkative dude was secretly recorded as he spoke authoritatively while he was busy shuffling playing cards in the backyards of dingy ghetto watering holes, which have suddenly become his convenient pastime sites and small income generating points through njuga.
For the umpteenth time, Blabber reiterates that he does not celebrate anyone’s misfortune, but cannot surely remain silent when seeing how the mighty have fallen in a short space of time.
Gentle reader, make a date next Friday for details about leaks in the audio clip. Ciao!
