BLABBERMOUTH: New chapter goes terribly wrong!

WHAT is this we hear about the widow of a deceased city leader who is said to have been severely burnt by an irate Ben-10 boyfriend, and now counts herself lucky to be alive after being discharged from hospital recently?
I mean the widow of that dear departed comrade who used to call the shots at our major service provider in our beautiful and beloved city. Yes, the man who breathed his last during the days of the global pandemic, and whose death was attributed to the highly infectious and deadly flu-like ailment.
Love after loss can be very difficult, and it appears this is what our dear sister is going through.
We all know and understand the proverbial widow’s fire — the intense surge of physical desire, passion, or need for intimacy that many widows or widowers experience.
For that reason, Yours Truly feels for her.
But it is the journalist in Blabber that wants to understand why she would opt for someone much younger.
The journalist in me also wants to know why she would have multiple affairs to the extent of cheating on a Ben-10, something she must have known would carry severe consequences, given the military background of the young man.
Word reaching Yours Truly is that her Ben-10 ran amok after discovering her infidelity, and poured a substance on her that left her badly burnt from the waist down.
For the past three months she was admitted at that well-known private hospital, and Blabber has it on good authority that she has now recovered.
Yours Truly hopes she has learnt her lesson, and for the sake of the young ones that our dear departed brother left behind, that she will do the right thing in matters of the heart.
Be that as it may, Blabber was surprised to learn the identity of the Good Samaritan who helped meet the medical bills.
This was none other than that learned friend of ours.
Blabber is still digging deeper into the source and motive of his benevolence, knowing fully well that, apart from generally having a heart of stone, our egotistic brother of strong rural background deeply understands the value of every cent that comes out of his pocket.
He is definitely not the one to donate or give, just like that.
Together with this follow-up, Blabber will also delve into the case of that other popular bus company manager who was involved in a road traffic accident and the effects of his misfortune.
Watch this space!
