AWARD-WINNING comedian Trevor Noah’s decision to relocate overseas has paid off. And now Mzansi might lose the award-winning DJ Black Coffee too!
DJ Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo, is allegedly considering relocating overseas.
The Superman hit-maker might be leaving Mzansi’s shores because of his hectic schedule abroad. A source close to the situation said Black Coffee and his pregnant wife, Mbali Mlotshwa, might be relocating at the end of the month and take their whole flock along with them.
The source said Black Coffee, who spends most of his time travelling around the world, wants to settle closer to the international market.
“Travelling often has taken its toll on him. This means he doesn’t get enough time to spend with his family because he’s always away.
“He also feels he has accomplished so much in the local market. He’s an established brand and is known across the world,” the source Sunday Sun spoke to claimed.
The source claimed Black Coffee feels like he has reached the ceiling in his career in Mzansi, though the move would not be a permanent one.
“He has been planning this move and has made enough contacts abroad. He’s always playing overseas anyway, so it might be easier for him to relocate,” said the source.
The source added Black Coffee wants to test whether moving with his family will work out.
“Things have become easier overseas for him,” the source said, claiming Black Coffee had been thinking about the idea of moving for a long time.
“Obviously, this isn’t known to a lot of people. It’s something that has been kept hush hush,” said the source.
But when called for comment, Black Coffee’s long time manager, Amaru, denied that the hit-maker was moving abroad, saying he’s only going for gigs. — DailySun
