Black Mambas bite Buffaloes

Tsepo Ranthohoane’s flashing header in the 40th minute and Nicholas Alfandika’s 57th minute volley was all the Harare police outfit needed to secure the victory after going for the previous five league matches without a win.

Mambas coach, John “Toto” Ncube, said it was a sweet and deserved victory for his team.
His assistant, Martin Bonongwe, said their game plan worked well for them.

“I think we had the right strategy going into this match. Our game plan was to be on the ball first and we managed to gain control of the match because of that.

“We also wanted to press them upfield because we know Buffaloes want to build it from the back.”
Buffaloes coach, Saul Chaminuka, said his team just failed to click.

“This is one match we really wanted to win but things could not just click. We allowed our opponents to dominate especially in the midfield.

“It’s sad that it is now three weeks in a row without winning a single match,” he said.
