BLACK MAMBAS coach John “Toto” Ncube believes his side will be competitive enough to challenge for a quick return to the Premiership when the Zifa Northern Region Division One championship gets underway.
The gaffer saw his side relegated on the last day of the season last year but is hopeful they will bounce bak quickly.

“We begun our preparations some three weeks ago and we are happy with the progress so far,” said Ncube.

“The team is doing well and I am happy that we have not lost many players after our demotion last season.

“The team lost only four players and we are looking forward to replacing them by the end of this week.

“The team we had in the Premiership is almost the same as the one we have now and we are going to get four players from the Second Division.”

Warumwa Warumwa lost Ben Nyahunzvi to CAPS United, Tonderai Muteyaunga and Tsepo Rantokoane to ZPC Kariba while Evans Gwekwerere’s contract was not renewed.

“We will work hard to get results from the onset and with the arsenal we have we believe we have a good chance,” Ncube said.
