BLACK Rhinos eased their relegation worries when they beat CAPS United in a thrilling Castle Lager Premiership soccer match at the National Sports Stadium yesterday.

The army side, who are now fourth from the bottom, now need a single point from their remaining two matches to survive the chop.
Rhinos goals came from Brighton Mugoni, Brian Muzondiwa and Lot Chiwunga in the 17th, 34th and 79th minutes respectively while CAPS United replied through Benson Maglas (50th minute) and Ronald Pfumbidzai 80th) minute.

CAPS United threatened first with Pfumbidzai initiating some good moves on the left where he combined well with Rahman Kutsanzira who later on twisted his knee and was substituted.

CAPS United coach Taurai Mangwiro conceded defeat and said they blew away their last chance of winning the championship.
“This was a difficult game and playing a team which is fighting relegation was tricky as they threw everything at us from the start,” Mangwiro said.

“The two quick goals gave them the edge when we went for the break and we failed to utilise the chances that came our way which was very disappointing.

Black Rhinos gaffer Arthur Tutani said he was happy with the win and believe it will save them from relegation.
“I am happy for the win as we really wanted the points. The boys played according to instructions and it worked in our favour,” he said.
