AS preparations for resumption of competitive football action gather momentum, Harare army outfit, Black Rhinos are expected to camp in Mutare from this month.
Black Rhinos coach, Hebert Maruwa, confirmed that they already have plans in place to take their preseason preparations to the eastern border city.
Maruwa, whose team was the first PSL outfit to resume training two weeks ago, said their training sessions are going ahead well apart from the very low levels of player physical fitness.
“Yes, we are planning to be in Mutare for our preseason camp and that should be from next week (around April 20). At the moment we are concentrating on improving physical fitness for players. It is very low and we really need to go an extra mile on that,” he said.
Chauya Chipembere’s decision to take their preseason preparations to Mutare could be informed by the proposed cluster competition arrangement in which Manica Diamonds, Tenax, Cranborne Bullets and Black Rhinos were placed in one cluster that is highly likely to be using Sakubva Stadium.
