HE is called the Black Warrior, has worked with Freeman and he says he now wants to explode into a big artist.
Black Warrior is based in rural Mhondoro Ngezi.
He dreams of working with the likes of Jah Prayzah, Holy Ten and Nutty O.
The Black Warrior is also a graphic designer, music producer and DJ.
“I started singing in 2012, when I was still at school, by that time I was in Form Two but I did my first professional recording in 2015, working with Sunshine Family.
“On the Sunshine riddim, I did the song titled ‘Ngoma.
“I met up with Freeman in 2016, when he came for a show in Turf. So, he for called someone to sing with on that song he did with Princo Spice, called ‘Nditachire.’
“I went on the stage and performed very well and Freeman liked my style.
“I then asked for his WhatsApp number and we were in contact up until in 2019, when we made the hit song ‘Musiye’.”
He added:
“Besides singing, I am also a DJ, graphic designer and music producer.
“I produce most of my songs on my own.
“I produced songs like ‘One Day’ and ‘Handidi Kukushaya’ for myself and I even did a song for Ngezi Platinum Stars called ‘Madamburo Bhora.’
“My main goal as an artist is to push my brand to become a big name in the industry and even beyond Zimbabwe, I am a versatile artist I do not stick with one genre, whatever sound that’s trending, I can work with it.
“Given the chance I would like to work with the likes of Jah Prayzah, Holy Ten and Nutty O. Currently I have a lot of unreleased songs.”
