ZIMBABWE international striker, Terrence Dzvukamanja, is set for his Castle Lager Premier Soccer League return when his new club Scottland host CAPS United at Rufaro on Sunday.

The Green Machine are ready to unleash their new signings who were paraded during half-time in Sunday’s goalless draw against Greenfuel at Rufaro.

They are winger Ishmael Wadi, striker Mutshimba Mugalu and defender Chitoshi Chinga.

It’s a blockbuster game as Scottland are desperate for a win to revive their title hopes while CAPS United seek to maintain their fine form under Ian Bakala and move further away from the relegation zone.

Scottland won the reverse fixture 2-0 courtesy of second half goals by Tymon Machope and Sadney Urikhob.

Dzvukamanja has joined Scottland after a six-year stint in South Africa where he played for Bidvest Wits, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United after leaving Ngezi Platinum Stars in 2018.

Scottland will officially unveil the Warriors forward today, rescheduled from yesterday, with everything pointing to a debut appearance on Sunday as the Premiership newcomers desperately need goals in a faltering campaign.

They still have a big shout in the title race but have failed to win in their last three games against Greenfuel (2-2 away), TelOne (0-1 at home) and Triangle United (0-0 away) and trail leaders, MWOS by nine points with a game in hand.

Machope is currently the leading goalscorer for Scottland with four goals, six behind joint leaders Washington Navaya of TelOne and Billy Veremu of MWOS.

Warriors midfielder, Mthokozisi Msebe, is second highest scorer at Scottland with three goals, followed by Michael Tapera on two goals.

Meanwhile, Dzvukamanja returns from a spell in South Africa where he scored 21 goals and 10 assists in 142 league games.

He also scored 11 goals in 27 cup games and provided one assist. Dzvukamanja scored most of his goals (21) as a centre forward and seven as a winger (four on the right and three on the left).

At Scottland, Dzvukamanja joins players like captain Walter Musona, Khama Billiat, Ronald Pfumbidzai and Kevin Moyo who were all in the South Africa Premier Soccer League at some stage of their careers over the past decade.

They have also been teammates at the Warriors.
