Club coach Clinton Larsen says he is hoping that Mutuma’s paperwork is sorted out before the League clash against Kaizer Chiefs on March 31.
“We are still waiting for his papers,” says Larsen.
“We are crossing our fingers that by the time we play against Chiefs he will be available for selection.
“The boy is class and we can’t wait to see him in action. He is banging in goals and looking very sharp at training,” Larsen added.
Meanwhile, Maritzburg United United striker, Cuthbert Malajila, says he is not bitter with Zimbabwe Warriors’ coach, Klaus-Dieter Pagels, for omitting him from the team that will face Egypt in a crucial 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier in Alexandria next week.

Pagels did not select Malajila, Kingston Nkatha and Nyasha Mushekwi, who are playing regularly for their teams in the South African Premiership, and instead opted for Mutuma, who is still to kick a ball for Bloemfontein Celtic, and his new skipper, Denver Mukamba, who has just one substitute appearance for Bidvest Wits.
Nkatha was on target this weekend as Kaizer Chiefs beat lower league side, Polokwane Stars, 2-0 in a Nedbank Cup tie.
Malajila, who has been in good scoring touch for Maritzburg United, says he respects the decision of the German coach and will continue to work hard at his club.
“While it is every player’s dream to represent their country on the international stage, I am not bitter at the coach for not picking me in his team,” Malajila told CAJ News.
“I will keep working hard for my club and maybe I will get my chance to play for Zimbabwe under the new coach. You have to respect the decision of the coach because it is his job to make these decisions.
“I will be supporting the boys and I hope they will do well in Egypt. I definitely do not have any hard feelings because I am a professional.”
He has scored eight league goals so far this season. Observers have questioned Pagels’ decision to leave out a number of experienced South Africa-based players from his squad and fear this could affect the Warriors’ chances of qualifying for the next World Cup, which will be held in Brazil.
Pagels, who says he is rebuilding a new team, argues that a number of players “do not suit” his style of play.
