A GANG of five men turned a village business centre into a battlefield when they allegedly pounced on a fellow villager, stabbed him in the back and head, and left him half-dead in a blood-soaked mess, all over a girlfriend!
The five, Fortunate Dube, Sonboy Ncube, Fisani Ncube, Alex Masuku, and Silas Masuku, all aged 18, appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Joseph Mabeza facing attempted murder charges.
Their target? Mbekezeli Moyo (25), the man they accused of snatching Sonboy’s lover.

According to court proceedings, on 14 April at 2AM, the gang confronted Moyo at Famona Business Centre in Inyathi as he walked to Bluemoon nightclub.
They allegedly attacked him from behind, one stabbed him in the back, and as he tried to flee, the rest chased him down, stoned him, and stabbed him twice on the head!
Witnesses say the brutal beatdown only stopped when a security guard rushed over. By then, Moyo lay unconscious in a pool of blood and had to be rushed to hospital.

In court, the crew denied stabbing him, claiming self-defence.
“Moyo is violent. He threatened us with a knife and insulted us. We feared for our lives,” they said in their joint defence.

But the evidence told a bloodier tale.
The court has remanded the case for further proceedings, but villagers are still talking about the night jealousy turned deadly at Bluemoon.
