Blue Rangers beat City

Premier soccer League clash at Rufaro yesterday.
The game was delayed by 30 minutes following clash of colours.
The match was also not screened live on SuperSport as announced earlier.
After their win yesterday Blue Rangers are now on 24 points and have moved to fourth from bottom but have played one game more. Partson Ndabambi, Rangers coach, is confident of surviving relegation.
“This is the turning point for us because from the time we took over we never won two consecutive games and this is a great achievement,” said Ndabambi. Our life depended on this game and had we lost this match our chances of surviving could have faded.
“We are now working on moving up on the log because if you look at the table we are only two points away from the team that is above us. We are in the right direction and we just need to keep on collecting maximum points in our next assignments.” The Sunshine City boys have been in good form recently and beat FC Platinum 1-0 at Mandava and they were coming into this match as favourites. Bigboy Mawiwi blamed the defeat on complacency but is still hopeful of a top eight finish. “We never played our normal game — we were talking about complacency the whole week but unfortunately the boys got carried away,” said Mawiwi.
