Blues eye Guardiola

LONDON. — Chelsea will go all out to get Pep Guardiola as their next manager. The Spaniard is the No.1 target for Blues owner Roman Abramovich who sacked Jose Mourinho last week.

And the Russian billionaire will only look at other targets IF he fails to convince Guardiola to join the reigning English Premier League soccer champions.

It has been widely assumed that Guardiola will join Manchester City in the summer when he leaves Bayern Munich.

But Chelsea are refusing to be put off and will pull out all the stops to land the former Barcelona boss.

The Stamford Bridge side have been encouraged by the noises coming from the Guardiola camp and money is no object for Abramovich. — The Daily Star.
