BMC to hold burnout festival

BULAWAYO Motoring Club (BMC) will host a fire dance RAW Adrenalin show at Breedon Everard circuit along Victoria Falls Road on Saturday.
The show is open to anyone who wishes to attend and will feature four top DJs that will be bringing top entertainment.
In an interview, event co-ordinator Zuga Kruger said fans should come in their numbers because this is a show not to miss.

“I encourage those that want to show off with their cars, bikes and subwoofers to come do it on the race course. Local bikers and motorists should converge at the venue and create an edge of excitement,” he  said.

Zuga, as Kruger is popularly known, said fans will have a chance to sample new and old house music.
“Among the DJs coming will also be Brian ‘The Scratch Master’, Herbal T who will be playing electro music, Witch Doka who will come in with progressive music and Zugati playing progressive as well as Psy,” he said.

Zuga said before the gig, fans will get a chance to see beautiful displays from a number of motorists who will be dancing and spinning with their cars.

“The event is a burnout festival where motorists from Harare, Botswana, Mutare and Bulawayo will be showing off their skills. There will be lots of music and top entertainment,” he said.

The Bulawayo Motoring show comes a week after Harare successfully hosted a similar event where old and new boys clashed in an entertaining competition.

Zuga said Bulawayo, not to be outdone, is expecting an entertainment filled occasion.
“Darren Pragji will be showing off as Bulawayo’s representative and he will be hoping to impress in front of home spectators in a spectacular way. The presence of Harare drivers will bring years of experience on the racing circuit and will result in fierce battles as motorists try to out-do each other,” he said.

Zuga said this is not a competition but a festival aiming to promote and keep racing alive for future generations.
“Although a motorist’s common goal is to win a trophy at the end, we however need to do such activities in order to keep racing alive for future generations. One day our children may join clubs in their towns and race just as their parents are doing now,” he said.
