BULAWAYO Metropolitan Rugby Football Board (BMRFB) has released the fixtures for the third round of the Under-20 league which is set to take place at Hartsfield Rugby Grounds on Saturday.
A total of three matches will be played during this round of fixtures with a top of the table clash on the cards and will be the last clash of the day.
Western Suburbs Academy, who are sitting in pole position on the standings with 10 points from two matches will go against fellow title contenders Hornets who have the same number of points from as many matches as well.
The two sides are separated by point’s difference with the Academy on 61 whilst Hornets are on 41. The first match will be between Old Miltonians and Raging Bulls while the second encounter of the day will be between Bulldogs and Plumtree Buffaloes before the much-anticipated top of the table clash.
The opening match is scheduled to start at 1330hrs and an hour earlier there will be women’s rugby match. A children’s skills development programme, which was introduced at the start of the season will kick start the day at 1000hrs.

The skills programme is open for all children between the ages of 9-12 and is free of charge.
Hornets in second place are followed by Raging Bulls who have five points from two matches having won one and lost one match so far in the season. Old Miltonians, Bulldogs and Plumtree Buffaloes are sitting in positions four, five and six respectively with zero points. Old Miltonians, however, have only played one match.

The province is also looking at having an invitational tournament featuring teams from Botswana in March and will be using the series to prepare for it. Last season, they managed to close the year on a high by hosting the Unforgettable
Sevens Rugby Festival which was at Hartsfield as well where women, men and schools took part.
More rugby festivals are expected to take place this year. — @brandon_malvin
