BUSINESSMAN Tinashe Mutarisi has dismissed suggestions that he was taking aim at socialite Mai TT in a social media post in which he jokingly questioned the need for the country’s celebrities to move around with bodyguards.
Mai TT appeared at the National Merit Awards (NAMA) with a group of bodyguards who were all dressed for the occasion.
One social media user, called Slay Queen Chihera, claimed Mutarisi was mocking Mai TT.
She urged Mai TT to go on an offensive in attacking Mutarisi.
Chihera posted:
“Mai TT watukwa naTinashe Mutarisi hanzi wakauwirei nemabody guards munyika diki iye saka hondo ngaitange haungambojairirwe tuka munhu Mura.”
However, the businessman, whose NASH TV picked an award at NAMA, said his words were being twisted.
“Pane vatora comment yangu pano on a post yandaisa in the morning ya Freeman vakanobatanidza ne picture yaMai Titi yavai promoter a security kuma NAMA.
“My comment had absolutely nothing to do with Mai Titi a person who I respect and work with.
“I am a business person, I do not go around insulting people pa social media let alone someone who is a respected influencer followed by millions of people.
“It’s very clear and obvious to me that this was an advert. I will never come on social media to diss (attack) anyone, even my enemies,” he said.
