Almost everything can never get done unless it is done! I hope that makes sense. You see, there are so many days in a year that are set aside to celebrate women, pamper them and do all sorts but it is quite a paradox that in spite of all the attention they are still considered lesser beings around the world.

This is not uttered, but it is implied by the actions of many.A� I will not go into the politics of Womena��s Day save to say that we celebrate women on Valentinea��s Day, Womena��s Day, Mothersa�� Day, wedding anniversaries, their birthdays and the birth of their children. I am not advocating a Mena��s Day as I have a feeling it could be forgotten.

I am struck by how sombre the Womena��s Day was. Not much fanfare. No fancy hairdos for the day, no shuttling back and forth and flowers galore from men. Does this mean the message of the day is taken seriously? Someone should take up this challenge and make the day more exciting and more relevant to commerce. Surely an empowered woman should be able to sell.

Talking about boldness a month after Valentinesa�� Day makes me wonder if men are ready for bold women to pop the question. Are men ready to be courted and spoilt rotten during courtship as the changes take effect due to a bold woman.A� Women have protested strongly against the smothering of their rights across the board and some article caught my attention recently. I have argued with uMzo that the reason why we abhor unusual sexual preferences is that we detest competition. I really do not know if women will be pleased with the kind of headlines that hit me recently.

Nothing shocks me these days since the world has got to a point where anything, literally, goes.
Can you imagine I woke up to shocking news that some Game Park in Paris was the object of a terror attack. Remember some American star, is it Beyonce, being robbed while in that part of the world? This time it appears these animal terrorists, otherwise known as poachers, raided this game park in the city, shot a male white rhino in an enclosure with high security and made off with its horn. I wonder if this has something to do with recession economics where poachers in that part of the world reckoned the air ticket prices were too high to fly to Africa to poach such wildlife.

Poaching economics must have played a part somehow!A� While these poachers certainly surprised the poor animals, there was also another surprise, this one pleasant, for two fans of Serena Williams in another part of the world.

I have seen heads turning and fans scream at the sight of Mutuma in the street. Imagine Serena walking up to a public tennis court and offering to play a game with you! Like really.
