Boost for Seven Flames

Sports Reporter
SEVEN Flames are in reinforcement mode as they brace for the second half of the season in the World Navi Northern Region by registering central defender Blessing Mutsinze from Flame Lilly last week. The Flames struggled to settle in Division One and their predicament was worsened by their small base.

However, the club’s coach Kudakwashe Matuwi said they were targeting seven players and so far they have acquired the services of Mutsinze.

“We managed to register Blessing Mutsinze, some players, I think, will be done this week. At the moment we are supposed to add seven players, two strikers, three midfielders and two defenders.

“The seven agreed to move, it’s only that clearance from their teams was delayed,” said Matuwi.

Matuwi said the coming in of new players will create competition at the club as some of the players had lost their hunger to improve.

“It helps with the team selection because there is competition now on the team unlike relying on few people.   There was no competition because they knew that they will always play. It makes life easier for me,” said Matuwi.

Seven Flames drew 1-1 against ZRP Morris over the weekend and Matuwi said he is happy with the progress they are making as they have managed to get five points in the past three games.

“We played well, it’s only that there are a few grey areas. We created chances but failed to score. We could have won the match but we will work on it.”
