Border Strikers receive kit donation

Beitbridge Bureau
IN-FORM Zifa Central Region League side Border Strikers received a shot in the arm when a Beitbridge businessman Nomore Nyatsanga of Eland Investments donated a travelling kit to the team.

Border Strikers top the Central Region League and are strong contenders for promotion into the Premiership.

The club’s deputy chairman Hosea Muleya said the donation would motivate the players to fight for promotion seeing that the Beitbridge business community is behind them.

“We commend Eland Investments for such a gesture, especially now that the boys are hungry for success. This is enough motivation for us as Border Strikers and we also call on other businesspeople and former players to emulate this gesture,” said Muleya.

Nyatsanga promised to continue supporting the team whenever the need arises.

“This is the team that carries our hopes of bringing topflight football to Beitbridge and we must work together as a community to support them by ensuring they are well equipped.

“As Eland Investments, we will buy a new set of soccer shoes (for the team) if they win their next two matches. We are confident that this team will win promotion into the PSL and stay there,” Nyatsanga said.
