Borrowdale Academy gears for Sports Day

noon with sprint races for junior, middle and senior age groups as well as relays. Added to the excitement will be a teachers’ race and the parents’ race which will close the activities for the day. The private academic institution recently awarded scholarships to underprivileged children and is now working on its expansion programme.

Chairman and founder of the institution Ian Henney (45) said they had injected in excess of US$300 000 to build a block that will accommodate at least 300 students from the current enrolment of 150 students. The institution has achieved a 100 percent pass rate since it opened its doors in 2010.
