Zifa Southern Region Division One side Bosso 90 face Zimbabwe Republic Police Bulawayo Province in a city derby at the Barbourfields Ground Three searching for a second consecutive win since the start of the league on Saturday afternoon.
Last weekend Bosso 90 recorded their first win of the season after a 2-0 win over Hwange Under- 19 in a match played in the coal mining town. Their debut match In Bulawayo a fortnight ago ended in a 3-1 defeat to Victoria Falls based Amagagasi.
Bosso 90 coach Melusi Sibanda said the teama��s confidence was growing after the win in Hwange.
a�?The boys now believe in themselves after the Hwange match and we want to continue with the momentum. Ita��s important to win away matches especially in hot places like Hwange where our players suffered from fatigue in the closing stages of the match,a�? said Sibanda.
Meanwhile, the top scorer in the Zifa Southern Region league will be announced after the fourth round of matches.
The league is in Week Three.
The top goal scorer of the month is bankrolled by Nokel Security to the tune of $150. In the event that more than one player scores the highest number of goals after a round of four matches, the prize money is split among the top goal scorers.
The Zifa Southern Region is the only Division One league in the country that offers a monthly top goal scorer award.
The Premier Soccer League has a season top goal scorer award that was scooped by Premiership side Highlanders Football Cluba��s Knox Mutixwa who scored 14 goals last season.
