AFTER three months without a chief executive officer, Highlanders FC is finally closing in on a new BOSS. The battle is down to three familiar faces.
On Friday morning, the club is expected to hold final interviews to fill the hot seat left vacant by Brian Moyo, who resigned under a cloud after allegations of benefiting from Bulawayo Chiefs player transfers.
Zimpapers Sports Hub can reveal that the shortlist includes Nkululeko Ndlovu, Sikhumbuzo Ndebele, and Nqobile Ngulube.
Sources say Ndlovu is a no-nonsense strategist, a Highlanders card-carrying member, and a former police officer. Ndebele brings football pedigree, having played for Bosso, served as Bulawayo City general manager, and recently sat on the Zifa Normalisation Committee.
Ngulube is no stranger to Bosso fans either. A long-time supporter, he’s helped rally the Cowdray Park and Hwange chapters and even penned a book on football and sports administration.
While the club remained tight-lipped on Thursday, insisting they would not name names, insiders say the trio impressed during preliminary interviews.
The pressure is on as Bosso fans demand accountability, vision, and results both on and off the pitch. All eyes are now on today’s boardroom showdown.
