HIGHLANDERS have confirmed the appointment of Culvin Mavhunga as their new Performance Analyst, in a move aimed at strengthening the club’s technical department.
The Bulawayo giants announced the development in a statement, signalling their intent to enhance their use of data and match intelligence.
“Highlanders FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Culvin Mavhunga as the club’s new Performance Analyst,” read part of the statement.
Mavhunga arrives with a solid reputation in football analytics, having worked with Tanzanian side Simba SC as well as the Zimbabwe senior national team.
Bosso highlighted his experience as a key factor behind the appointment.
“A highly regarded figure in Zimbabwean football, Mavhunga brings valuable experience, including a stint with Tanzanian giants Simba SC and time with the Zimbabwe senior national team, where he provided key data-driven insights and match intelligence,” the club said.
His role will focus on video analysis and opposition scouting, areas that are increasingly becoming central in modern football.
“Specialising in video analysis and opposition scouting, he is known for translating complex match data into actionable coaching strategies,” the statement added.
The move is expected to bolster coach Benjani Mwaruwari’s backroom staff, amid earlier concerns over the need to reinforce the technical team.
