The Bulawayo giants have not won a match in their last two encounters and last weekend shared spoils with Motor Action at Rufaro.
They had also been held to a goalless draw by Chicken Inn at home.
Highlanders’ coach Kelvin Kaindu has been away in Zambia but might return in time for the match.
Kaindu, said his team was not under pressure to win the league as he was still assembling a competitive outfit.
Harare City are high on morale following their victories against Dynamos and Black Mambas.  
Yesterday, Harare City coach Bigboy Mawiwi, said all the Premiership teams were the same.
“It is always good to play the teams that are on the top of the log,” said Mawiwi.
“It is only four games left for us to reach the halfway mark of the season but all the matches we have played we haven’t noticed any difference.
“Even Blue Rangers are playing well and we have done very well.
“We are very positive going for Highlanders match. We have done well on the road.
“We will just play our normal game as we are treating each game as it comes and we are positive just like what we do when we play any other game,” said Mawiwi.
The former Gunners coach said his charges were naturally motivated seeing other players moving to better paying leagues like the Absa Premiership and believe if they continue to work hard they will also secure deals.
“The youngsters are very focused and they are motivated seeing Chinyama (Takesure) going at the age of 30.
“So they believe they can also make it and it is motivating them,” said Mawiwi.
Mawiwi also bemoaned the five draws they had, the highest number of draws in the league so far, and believes winning some of these stalemates could have made a huge difference.
“If we had won two of the matches we drew we could be at another level now. But now we are trying to get as many points as we can,” said Mawiwi.
Elsewhere, FC Platinum, who escaped with maximum points against Blue Rangers at Gwanzura last weekend, return to the same venue for a date against Monomotapa this afternoon.
Monoz would be banking on a good home record, which has seen them losing just once to Gunners this season, when then host the Zvishavane side.
And coach Taurai Mangwiro believes his team will bounce back to winning ways following a painful 1-2 defeat to Shabanie at Maglas last Sunday.
“It is a big game for us and against Platinum we are fancying our chances and have our campaign back on track.
“We want to close in on the leaders and if we beat Platinum we will be a point behind them.
“Our home record is good but at the same time our away record is dismal. We have been an inconsistent lot. We play very well today and the next day we drop points,” said Mangwiro.
The former Under-20 mentor said his players would also want to impress the Warriors’ coach Rahman Gumbo.
“The youngsters would want to do well in front of the national team coach who doesn’t normally get time to see all the players in action.
“And we have good players like Kuda Musharu, Brian Mapfumo, Tendai Ngulube, Russell Madamombe and Ronald Chitiyo,” said Mangwiro.
The team also welcomes back Ronald “Rooney” Chitiyo, Joseph Mutambiranwa and Wonder Kapinda who were nursing injuries and did not feature in the previous game.
