HIGHLANDERS have cut ties with midfield veteran Rahman Kutsanzira as the club continues to rejuvenate its squad ahead of the 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season that kicks off end of February.

Kutsanzira re-joined Bosso in January 2022 after spending almost four years at multiple championship-winning side FC Platinum.

“The club would like to confirm that it will not be renewing Rahman Kutsanzira’s contract. This departure follows a 2-year contract deal that he signed with the club in 2022. We wish the veteran midfielder the best in his future endeavours,” announced the club in a statement.

Kutsanzira is the older brother to Innocent, the former Bulawayo City FC player whose career was cut short after he suffered a horror injury when he broke his leg and never fully recovered to play professional football again

“Highlanders will always be my home and I will forever cherish all the years that I spent wearing the black and white jersey with pride,” Kutsanzira briefly told Chronicle Sport.

He is also a former Caps United player who tried his luck at Maritzburg United in South Africa in 2011 but a deal failed to materialise.
