Motorist flees from scene after hit-and-run incident

A BULAWAYO man was injured when a vehicle veered off the road and hit him.

In a statement, police said the incident occurred along Nketa Drive opposite Puma Garage, and the suspect who was driving a silver Honda

Fit registration number ADU 1428 did not stop after the accident.

Police appealed for information that may help in apprehending the suspect.

“Police in Nkulumane are investigating a hit-and-run road traffic accident that occurred along Nketa Drive opposite Puma Garage, Bulawayo on 11/01/24 in which a pedestrian was injured when an unknown motorist who was driving a silver Honda Fit registration number ADU 1428 veered off the road to the left and hit the victim who was selling his wares by the roadside. The motorist did not stop after the accident. Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station,” reads the statement.
