IT was broomsticks and Bosso pride in Cowdray Park on Sunday morning as the Highlanders Cowdray Park chapter rolled up their sleeves for a massive clean-up campaign just hours before the Battle of Zimbabwe Part Two kicked off.

Armed with gloves, shovels, and the black-and-white spirit, the fans turned the Cowdray Park terminus into a sea of teamwork and passion, proving that Highlanders’ love goes far beyond the pitch.
Chapter chairman Nhlanhla “Bhango” Dube said the initiative wasn’t just about trash, but about togetherness.
“This clean-up is more than just keeping the area tidy. It’s about bringing the community together and instilling pride for our team and our neighborhood,” said Dube.

Vice chairman Precious Mathema added that the exercise reflected the club’s family values.
“Activities like this strengthen the bond between the club and its supporters. It’s teamwork both on and off the pitch,” said Mathema.
Residents applauded the move, saying Bosso fans had set a shining example ahead of their clash with arch-rivals Dynamos later in the day.

With the stands ready to roar and the streets swept clean, Highlanders supporters showed that true champions don’t just fight for victory, they also fight for their community.
