BULAWAYO giants Highlanders will this morning at 9AM have a training match at Luveve Stadium where the coaches will also have a look at players who are on trials among them former skipper Zephania Ngodzo and Walter Musanhu.
Musanhu is younger brother to former Dynamos defence stalwart Chamunoda who is now based in the United Kingdom.
The boys have been working on their physical shape and tactical skills and now the coaches want to have a look at them in a game situation.

“Our fans are free to come and watch the boys in action. The match starts at 9AM tomorrow. We hope the fans do appreciate that when we are having team drills they will not be let into the stadium, we are not shutting them out as such,” said head coach Kelvin Kaindu.
On Wednesday, scores of Highlanders fans were turned away at White City Stadium where the Mbada Diamonds Cup holders were having an afternoon training session.

This morning’s training match will also give Bosso’s Canadian imports, goalkeeper Jean-Felix Lemieux and striker Phillippe Barriault a chance to prove themselves in a game situation.

On his impression about the team since his arrival from Zambia, Kaindu said the boys were showing great enthusiasm and responding well to training drills but they were not yet ready in terms of their fitness levels.

“I am happy, so far so good, the guys are really giving it their best. They are, however, not yet ready in terms of shape but we are on the right track.

“The charity game in Gweru next week will give us a fair platform to assess the players,” said Kaindu.
He confirmed that Musanhu, who has had trials in Austria, was training with the team.

He is a defender.
The Zambian gave a slight hint that former skipper Zephania could be turning out for the black and white army this season after being offloaded by ambitious Chicken Inn.

“He has been training with us, our doors are always open to our former players, this is their home,” said Kaindu.
