Umahlekisa Entertainment has postponed the much-anticipated Bosso@100 Roast to September 25, citing unforeseen circumstances.
The comedy show, which had initially been scheduled for Friday (August 21) at the Bulawayo Large City Hall, was part of celebrations marking Highlanders Football Club’s centenary.
The postponement comes at a sombre time for the Highlanders family following the death of club patron and long-serving board member Jimmy S Ncube, who passed away at United Bulawayo Hospitals on August 18.
In a statement, Umahlekisa Entertainment apologised to fans, sponsors, partners, stakeholders and ticket holders affected by the postponement, saying the decision was not made lightly.
“umahlekisa Entertainment Club would like to sincerely advise all our followers, stakeholders, and sponsors that the_Roast of Highlanders Comedy Night_ has been postponed to a layer date. This decision was not made lightly. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to make this postponement.
“The Roast of Highlanders was conceptualised to celebrate Bosso’s centenary through an evening of comedy, laughter, and reflection. We deeply regret any inconvenience this postponement may cause to our valued stakeholders, sponsors, partners, and ticket holders.
“We sincerely apologize and remain committed to honoring the legacy of Highlanders. We thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to bring you an event befitting of this historic milestone.
“We would also like to send our deepest condolences to the Bosso Family on the passing of the Club Patron, Jimmy Ncube,” reads the statement.
