Bowling resumes

THE national bowlers are expected back on the greens at City Bowling Club for the Inter-Club Fours competition on Sunday.
The Inter Club Fours is being used to prepare for the Nationals set for the Easter holidays in Bulawayo.
This year’s Inter-Clubs will have nine men’s teams and seven women’s sides taking part.
The men’s teams will be playing this Sunday while the women’s teams are expected to play the following weekend.

Highlands Sports Club are the defending champions of the Inter-Club Fours and are hoping to retain their title.
Skipper Tom Craven said they were expecting the tournament to be competitive. “Last year we were in top form and we won the Inter-Club Fours and this year we looking forward to doing our best and winning again,” said Craven.

“Two weeks ago we had the CABS Mixed pairs were Ally Dale and I won the event and so I am ready for the Inter-Clubs,” said Craven.
The competition will mark the beginning of the season this year.

Zimbabwe’s women’s skip, Kerry Craven, said she can’t wait to get her season underway.
“The Inter- Club Fours is a very important event for me because that is where I start my serious business on the greens,” said Kerry. “Last year I had a remarkable season, which was very fruitful, as I got the opportunity to represent my country at national and international level.”

Craven will be representing Highlands Sports Club.
