A 19-YEAR-OLD man from Badala Village in Inyathi, Matabeleland North Province was arrested for failing to control his sexual appetite after ejaculating on the buttocks of a 9-year-old girl while watching a “romantic” movie on his phone.
This came to light when Cabangani Sibanda appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Ernest Muzembe facing one count of indecent assault. He pleaded not guilty but was convicted after trial.
Cabangani was remanded in custody to January 28 for sentencing.
Circumstances were that on 1 May 2024, at around 6pm, the complainant, her two siblings, and the accused were watching movies on the accused’s cellphone near the complainant’s place of residence while the complainant’s mother was preparing supper in the kitchen.
It was heard that while the minor was watching the movie, Cabangani pulled up her dress and ejaculated on her buttocks.
The court heard that the complainant was called by her mother to assist her in the kitchen and that is when she discovered that something was flowing on her back.
The complainant informed her mother who then checked on her back and noticed some semen on the complainant’s buttocks.
The matter was reported to the police, leading to the arrest of the accused.
