Boy (8) tries to sexually assault girl in toilet

The boy appeared in court yesterday facing charges of indecent assault.
He was placed under a probation officer by Harare magistrate, Ms Esthere Chivasa.
Prosecutor, Ms Sarah Bosha, said after part of the trial was held in camera that the girl’s family withdrew the charges.
But Ms Chivasa’s ruling that the boy be placed under probation still stood after the withdrawal of the charges.
Ms Bosha said on July 13 last year, the girl was in the toilet and as she lowered her trousers and undergarments, she saw the boy standing with his trousers lowered as well.
The court heard that the half-naked boy walked to where the girl was and made indecent contact with her.
