ZANU-PF affiliate group, Boyz Dzamdara, has received US$60 000 from Presidential Youth Fund Scheme to support youth projects across the country as a revolving empowerment fund.

President Mnangagwa allocated a total of US$200 000 to the youth movement.

Harare province has so far received US$10 000, Masvingo US$10 000, Mashonaland West US$20 000 and Manicaland province US$20 000.

Speaking at a workshop on Tuesday, Boyz Dzamdara national chairman, Cde Hopewell Chako, confirmed the development, saying the remaining provinces will receive their allocation anytime upon submitting their project proposals.

“We are not distributing hard cash to the provinces; they submit their project proposal for evaluation and then we provide the required capital for the project,” said Cde Chako.

“Harare province is engaged in a piggery project, so we bought 100 pigs to kick start their project. We provide feed for them until they realise their potential.

“In Masvingo, Manicaland, Mashonaland West we bought wire mesh making-machine with the market readily available,” he stated.

He said the Presidential Empowerment Fund was designed to be a powerful engine for economic growth and transformation to ensure development that leaves no one and no place behind.

Boyz Dzamdara is set to hold a strategic meeting this weekend in Kariba. At least 5000 youths are expected to attend the meeting.

At least 500 delegates from each province are expected to attend the meeting.
