THE Bulawayo Pool Association (BPA) will on 23 July conduct trials for Under- 23 players that to represent the province in August at the rebranded Zimbabwe National Youth Games.
The annual games will be held in Matabeleland North province from 17-27 August.
BPA publicity secretary Farai Nyandoro said the trials would be conducted at various venues in and around the city.
a�?The trials will be held at various venues that include Nketa 8, Kugona, Raylton, Entumbane, Lobengula and Nkulumane as we seek to come out with a strong Under- 23 side that will represent Bulawayo at the youth games.
We are going to pick eight best players and each player that is looking forward to taking part in the trials will be expected to pay $3 registration fee,a�? said Nyandoro.
He added that the games would be played on a race to three basis.
Pool and other 13 sport codes that include karate, darts, golf, chess, rugby, rowing, swimming, hockey, chess, gymnastics, weightlifting, cycling and table tennis would be played at the games for the first time.
Eight sport codes were being played since the inception of the games in 2003. .
