THE City of Harare has advised residents that water pipe replacement works along Learoyd Road in Braeside, which commenced last week, will continue until July 24 as part of efforts to improve water supply infrastructure in the area.
In a notice, acting Town Clerk Advocate Warren Chiwawa said the project was being undertaken by the City of Harare in partnership with Helcraw Water.
He said the ongoing works were aimed at upgrading ageing infrastructure and enhancing water delivery services to residents.
“Kindly note that trenches may be excavated within some residential premises to facilitate service connections,” said Adv Chiwawa.
“Residents are requested to cooperate with teams on the ground and grant access where required to ensure the completion of these essential works.”
In a separate notice, Adv Chiwawa said additional pipe replacement works are also being carried out in Braeside during the period June 18 to July 24, 2026.
He urged property owners and residents to remove all illegal structures and any obstructions located within the sanitary lane along the pipeline route to enable the smooth execution of the project.
The infrastructure upgrade forms part of the local authority’s broader programme to modernise water supply systems and improve service delivery across the city.
