Brazilians bid for Batoka

Brazilian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Ms Marcia Maro Da Silva confirmed the development in an interview with The Herald after meeting Vice President Joice Mujuru at her Zanu-PF offices in Harare yesterday.

She said Camargo Correa had just presented a letter expressing interest in the construction of Batoka.
“A Brazil construction company (Camargo Correa) has expressed interest in construction at Batoka Gorge.

The Zambezi River Authority has received the letter and should explore the possibility of meeting one of the representatives of the company,” Ambassador Maro Da Silva said. Camargo Corrêa is a diversified Brazilian industrial company involved in engineering.
