Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Fees Moloi has advised the club to sign ex-Mamelodi Sundowns star Gaston Sirino and Young Africans duo Prince Dube and Stephen Aziz Ki.
Sirino was released by the Tshwane giants at the end of the last season, while Orlando Pirates-linked Aziz Ki and Zimbabwean star Dube are key players at Yanga.
When pleading with Amakhosi to sign the aforementioned players, Moloi is adamant they can take the club to another level.
“There was no improvement at all in Sunday’s game, but what left me excited is that he played the youngsters. If they can get a few players in the middle of the park, [plus] we need a good finisher up front. Currently, we don’t have a great finisher,” Moloi told KickOff.
“There’s a lot still missing in this Kaizer Chiefs team. If I were them, I would not hesitate in bringing in Gaston Sirino. We need a ball player.
“I believe they have what it takes to win a cup this season. They must just add Prince Dube and the man of the match, Aziz Ki, there up front. You can easily turn Aziz into an attacking midfielder,” he added.
“On Sunday, you could easily tell Young Africans were far ahead of Kaizer Chiefs in terms of awareness and fitness. If I was the decision maker at Kaizer Chiefs, right now I’d break the bank for Dube and Aziz.”
Chiefs’ sporting director Kaizer Motaung Junior recently admitted that the club is still looking to sign more players after snapping up Bongani Sam, Rushwin Dortley and Fiacre Ntwari.
Speculation over Sirino’s future has been intensifying after his exit from Sundowns and he has been offered to both Pirates and Chiefs.
Aziz Ki was a top target for Mokwena’s Wydad Casablanca but Yanga coach Miguel Gamondi has made it clear that he would not want his star player to leave the club.
Aziz Ki and Dube were on the scoresheet when the team nicknamed Wananchi thrashed Kaizer Chiefs by 4-0 in the Toyota Cup in Bloemfontein on Sunday.
More so, the Glamour Boys were interested in Dube, but his potential move did not materialise due to the club’s new head coach Nasreddine Nabi’s late arrival.
Chiefs have been advised by several former players to sign Sirino but they seem to be not interested in him so far.
On the other hand, it will not be easy for Amakhosi to secure the signatures of Aziz Ki and Dube as they are key members of the Tanzanian champions. -goal.com
