NEW: Magwizi snaps 80 percent of the vote

NQOBILE MAGWIZI has secured 61 votes out of the 76 votes cast in today’s election to chose the new ZIFA president.

This represents 80 percent of the votes cast.

His rivals Philemon Machana got six votes; Twine Phiri, four; Marshall Gore, one; while Makwinji Soma-Phiri did not get any vote.

There were five spoilt ballots.

Magwizi now becomes the duly elected president of the association.
