National Railways of Zimbabwe General Manager Retired Air Commodore Mike Karakadzai has died.Police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba confirmed that Rtd Air Commodore Karakadzai died in a car accident this morning in Shangani.
“Air Commodre Karakadzai died at Mat Dei Hospital in Bulawayo after a road traffic accident,” she said.
Zimbabwe Defence Forces spokesperson Colonel Overson Mugwisi also confirmed the accident, which, he said occurred between Shangai and Insiza.
“Air Commodore Karakadzai is no more. He passed away at 02:10 hours at Mater Dei Hospital after a road traffic accident, which occurred at 19:22 hours when his vehicle hit a stray animal and swerved into an oncoming vehicle,” Col Mugwisi said.
He said Rtd Air Commodore Karakadzai was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where he died.
