HISTORY making Warriors Head Coach Callisto Pasuwa and his entire technical team have been reinstated with immediate effect two days after they were fired by ZIFA.
Zifa President Dr Phillip Chiyangwa told the association’s official website that they held a meeting today where they decided to reverse their decision to render Pasuwa jobless.
“I have conferred with the Vice President Mr Omega Sibanda and all members of the executive committee. We have agreed that in the interest of the nation and the beautiful game, Coach Pasuwa and his entire technical be reinstated with immediate effect,” Dr Chiyangwa said.
Dr Chiyangwa said Zifa and Pasuwa had buried the hatchet.
“Differences are normal in any institution, but it is imperative to solve them in an amicable manner. Pasuwa is a very successful coach and undeniably one of the highly qualified coaches in the country.
“The Association will inevitably render him necessary support as he prepares for the 2016 CHAN finals. We are very confident that his wonderful exploits will bring success and glory to our football loving nation,” said Dr Chiyangwa.
Zifa had on Thursday announced that they had sacked Callisto Pasuwa and his entire technical team. – Zifa/Sunday News Reporter
