BREAKING: Potraz board chairman Advocate Zvobgo dies

POSTAL and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) board chairman Advocate Tawanda Zvobgo has died.

Advocate Zvobgo is reportedly to have suffered a cardiac arrest at his workplace before he was rushed to the hospital where he unfortunately died.

Confirming the development, Minister of Information communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Tatenda Mavetera posted on her social media platforms citing that the ICT community has lost a dedicated leader.

“It is with profound shock and deep sadness that I have learnt of the passing of Advocate Tawanda
Zvobgo, Chairman of the POTRAZ Board. He was a dedicated leader, a brilliant legal mind and a steadfast champion for the advancement of Zimbabwe’s ICT sector.

“His wisdom and counsel were invaluable to our shared mission of digital transformation.
My heartfelt condolences go out to his beloved family, friends, the entire Potraz board, management, and staff during this difficult time. We have lost a pillar. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” said Minister Mavetera.
