Breast cancer awareness run

THE Mashonaland West Agricultural Society will stage its first Breast Cancer Awareness Run at the showgrounds tomorrow.

The Agricultural Society manager, Brian Vengayi, told H-Metro they also want to promote wellness by getting people into the habit of exercising.

Vengayi said they decided to do something different for the community.

“There are lots of prizes, which include medals and hampers to be won. 

“We hope to get bigger and better prizes for the participants as the event grows,” he said.

Vengayi said there will be free  T-Shirts and water for the participants.

Participants will compete in a 21km run, 10 km and 5km walk run.

Other activities include touch rugby and tug-of-war.
