A BRETHREN In Christ Church pastor is accused of threatening to kill her neighbouras child with supernatural powers.
Pastor Priscilla Mathe whose husband is also a pastor at the church is at loggerheads with her neighbour Sandisiwe Mpofu because the latter refused to go with her to prophets when she was pregnant.
Mathe was not amused and for reasons best known by her, she was reportedly shocked when Mpofu gave birth to a bouncing baby.
She became bitter and at one time threatened to kill the child because it was the root of Mpofuas pompous behaviour.
a?My pregnancy gave me lot of problems and I was constantly ill during that time.A My neighbour Mathe offered prayers as she is a pastor at Richmond Brethren in Christ Church.
a?Surprisingly this other day she asked me to join her as she was going to see a prophet at Davis Granite.
a?She told me that my pregnancy was in danger therefore we should go together but I refused as my husband was not around.
a?From the day in question, she became angry and stopped visiting me,a? said Mpofu.
The relation between the two women became really bad when Mpofu gave birth to a live baby which seems never went down well with Mathe.
a?When she saw me returning home with a baby, she told her friends that the baby was supposed to die soon after delivery.
a?Now that the baby is a few months old, whenever she sees me seated outside with the baby, she starts shouting, threatening to kill it using traditional means,a? narrated Mpofu.
However, when Pastor Mathe was contacted for comment, she laughed off the issue citing that residents of Iminyela suburb hate her because of the good works she does as a pastor.
a?I think this woman is now crazy. She has joined these other residents who hate me because I always do good in the community.
a?I have even asked other pastorsa wives to pray for me because all this is the devilas work. Itas not the first time Iam having such challenges in this community,a? she said.
Mpofu revealed that she is now living in fear for her life and of the child because of the unspecified action threats she gets from Pastor Mathe.
The residentsa elders advised her to apply for a peace order and it was granted in her favour to the effect that Mathe is not to talk to her in any means, either by word of mouth, letter, cellphone or through a third party for a period of 12 months.
