BRING on Scottland − that is the message from the Bosso captain.

Highlanders ended their week-long camp in Beitbridge with victories over Bishopstone and Dulibadzimu in friendly matches and they have now shifted focus on Scottland.

Bosso triumphed 8-0 against Bishopstone, with braces from Nigel Banda, Tendai Muvuti, and Nqobile Ndlovu, and more goals from Never Rauzhi and Gillian Nyathi.

Against Dulibadzimu, Brighton “MaNinja” Ncube scored a brace, to secure a 2-1 win for Bosso.

Captain Ariel Sibanda said the camp provided the team with an opportunity to address mistakes from their opening three games of the season.

Despite earning four points from one win and a draw, Bosso could have performed better had errors not cost them in away matches.

Goalkeeper Raphael Pitisi made mistakes in games against MWOS and GreenFuel, which directly affected the team’s results.

Sibanda, a senior figure within the squad, emphasised the benefits of the Beitbridge camp, where the team bonded and worked hard to improve their weaknesses.

“It was two days of bonding and I think we are bonding well. We are working hard looking forward to the next games.

“I think this international break is a blessing in disguise so that we can work on our mistakes in the past games we have played, but so far so good.

“We are eager to play the next game (against Scottland), and the spirits in camp are high. I would like to thank the executive for facilitating this camp. We have been working very hard,” said Sibanda.

Although Sibanda has not featured in a match this season, with Pitisi and Reward Muza ahead of him in the goalkeeping pecking order, his vast experience is expected to play a key role in guiding the younger goal minders, who are seen as the future of the team.

Sibanda recently extended his contract for another two years, driven by his ambition to help the club win the league title.

His commitment was further recognised when the club honoured him with a Ford Ranger, celebrating his 16 years of service.

Highlanders have not won the league title since 2006, and Sibanda believes his experience can be pivotal in guiding the club to success.
