Britney turns up the heat as she gets first People’s Choice Award

He’s known universally as Average Dave. But swap the sweat pants for a sharp suit and Britney Spears’ boyfriend David Lucado becomes something of a catch. And what better moment to reveal this, than while watching her ex-Justin Timberlake scoop the board at the People’s Choice Awards.

Britney and her man looked quite the power couple as they sat front row to enjoy the show.

While normally more at home in sportswear or jeans, 27-year-old David looked very dapper indeed in a simple black suit that he wore with a skinny black tie and, giving the look an edge, lace up black boots.

For their first red carpet appearance together ever — and her first People’s Choice Award — Britney also turned up the heat.

The Hold It Against Me star chose one of the sexiest dresses of the night — a nude coloured dress with silver floral embellishments.

The Mikael D dress made it appear as if the singer was wearing nothing but the metallic flowers and, keeping with the nude theme, the blonde accessorised the optical illusion dress with a pair of flesh coloured Giuseppe Zanotti high heels.

While stunning, the dress did have its drawbacks when Britney was revealed as the Favourite Pop Artists. The mother of two — Jayden and Sean — was forced to walk awkwardly up the stairs to the stage as the mini dress was so short and tight she could not move her legs properly.

Collecting her first ever People’s Choice Award, Brit was very overwhelmed dedicating it to her fans and two sons.

‘Wow. This is awesome, I was not expecting this,’ she said as she stepped up to the podium.

‘It’s because of all of you that I’m able to do what I love to do.’

The night was a nice break for Britney, who has been hard at work on her Las Vegas stage show.
But of course, Britney was not the only musical winner

Her former love Justin was the night’s big winner, taking three awards home – Favourite Pop Album, Male Artist and R&B Artist.

Luckily for Britney, her new love was looking great because, not doubt like all girls, she wanted to show Justin she was doing just fine without him.

Britney has been dating Dave for nine months now while Justin was the popstar’s first kiss and dated for three years from 1999.
