A shocking love triangle has rocked a Bulawayo marriage after Eric Ncube reportedly discovered that his wife, Latoya Johanna Ndlovu, was involved in an affair with Thulani “Javas” Sibanda, the chief executive officer of Bulawayo Chiefs Football Club.
Eric reached out to B-Metro and poured his heart out, saying he has been trying to get an audience with Javas to discuss the matter, but to no avail.
Eric says he wants Javas to pay him (ukuhlawula) for bedding his wife, Latoya, after he found steamy messages from Javas on her phone.
Some of the messages, obtained by B-Metro, were graphic, including pictures and videos of Javas’ “love knobkerrie,” which he was reportedly playing with.
Other messages show that the two had a sweaty romp, leaving Latoya saying: “Lokhe ngidizzy.”
Before that, Javas wrote: “Sebuya umshayi wek**u,” showing he was on his way to see her, and an hour later, Latoya thanked him, saying: “eSibanda.”
Eric, who has a three-year-old child with Latoya, recounted the unfolding drama, saying the problems began while he was working abroad.
“It started like this: I married this woman, and we lived together in South Africa. We have a child who is three years old. I went to Poland in 2024. While I was in Poland, I sent her money. I worked very hard and sent money every month. I had also worked in South Africa before that,” he said.
The couple later had disputes, and Latoya went to live with her family. Eric alleges that while living with her mother, she began drinking and socialising with strangers, causing repeated conflicts.
“She used to text people on Facebook who were not good influences. She had blocked them, but I later realised that she had unblocked them,” he said.
Eric said that after she returned to live at Queens Park, he continued supporting her financially. When he returned in November to fix travel documents, he tried to reconcile their marriage.
The situation came to a head on 8 December, when Eric discovered shocking evidence on Latoya’s phone.
“I took her phone to check WhatsApp messages. I saw chats with Javas, including messages about sleeping together. The chats showed that they had slept together four times in December. There were also videos of Javas naked, as well as audio messages,” Eric revealed.
He also said there were messages with another man, known only as BK, suggesting a wider web of secrecy.
“There was also discussion about pregnancy, with her explaining her menstrual cycle to Javas,” he added.
Confrontations followed, but the tension escalated.
“I confronted her, and we fought. We agreed that Javas should pay. Later, she changed her mind and started backing off,” he said.
Eric said he tried to hold Javas accountable.
“I asked Javas to cleanse my home. I also asked elders in the community to speak to him, but nothing worked. He kept delaying,” he said.
The troubled marriage has seen further disagreements over money, with Latoya allegedly complaining that Eric’s regular financial support was insufficient.
“She then said, ‘You are not my husband. You did not marry me. You thought I was going to stay single when you left. You did not pay lobola,” he said.
Asked for comment, Javas said he was in a meeting and requested this reporter contact him after 11 am. Thereafter, he did not respond to WhatsApp messages and was ignoring calls.
