Bulawayo Chiefs youth side crowned D3 champions

BULAWAYO Chiefs Football Club are the champions of the Zifa Bulawayo Division Three League, which grants them promotion to Division Two next year.

Amakhosi Amahle’s developmental side will be joined by East Rovers who finished in second position on the log standings. The Agent Sawu-coached Chiefs finished the league on 84 points while East Rovers accumulated 80 points.

What makes Chiefs victory special is that they had to play catch up after only beginning their league campaign with the other teams having already played seven games.
In the end, they won 27 games, lost four and drew three.

The success by the development side capped a successful year across the board for Chiefs after their senior team won the Chibuku Super Cup and attained their best-placed finish in the league since their promotion in 2018.

Amakhosikazi, their women team coached by Evans Netha finished unbeaten to win the Zifa Southern Region Women’s League which qualifies them for the National Super League next year. — @ innocentskizoe
