Bulawayo honours former councillor Mohammed Esat

The City of Bulawayo on Monday paid tribute to the late former Ward 1 councillor and businessman, Mr Mohammed Esat, who died on Sunday at the age of 80.

A council delegation led by Mayor Senator David Coltart, accompanied by councillors, Town Clerk Mr Christopher Dube and members of senior management, visited the Esat family to convey condolences and pay their respects.

Mr Esat served as Ward 1 councillor from 1995 to 2003, during which he made significant contributions to the development and governance of Bulawayo.

He was laid to rest at Athlone Cemetery on Monday.
